What Robatech calls 360° Gluing, is basically an adhesive application system linked to a robotic unit. 360° Gluing is easy to program and flexible in use. It relieves the operating personnel from monotonous and repeated work and works hand in hand with them. Consistent quality at different application angles and lower costs are the main arguments in favor of using cobots for adhesive application.

The smart Vision melter keeps the adhesive viscosity constant, and ensures a stable adhesive pressure. With the Smart Terminal — a new type of LED status display on the melter — the operating personnel can see even from a distance whether the gluing process is running smoothly or, for example, whether adhesive needs to be refilled. The fully insulated Performa heated hose is quickly and easily connected to the application head and the melter using PrimeConnect. This innovative plug-in coupling eliminates the usual cold bridges at the connection points, and thus saves energy and increases application quality.

When it comes to the application of silicone release liners and tear strips to shipping packaging, the new Vivo 18 coating head is the coating head of choice: It applies PSA hotmelt at speeds up to 250 m/min with great precision. In combination with the quantity control integrated into the melter, adhesive savings up to 30 % are possible.
